A simple, clear message to share as we all pull together.
As the world responds to Covid-19, instructions to be hygienic are being shared across the globe. Rush University Medical Center and Skender Construction shared this increasingly important message on the side of a building in Chicago.
Account manager Christine Fetting stepped into an early morning Friday meeting with Skender Construction and Rush University Medical Center. The objective was clear: Share awareness about the coronavirus. There are thousands of hashtags at any moment. #WASHYOURHANDS is/was incredibly urgent. It needed be seen by as many people as possible.
To make it visible, their teams decided on the 8th Floor. It would not be ignored. Skender and Rush developed the print-ready files. Cushing stayed open over the weekend, with a crew ready to print and install. Here are some images from the graphics lab to final installation.
THANKS TO THE RUSH TEAM!!!! for answering some questions about how the ideas and install came together. They are below too!
How did you decide #WashYourHands was the best message to use?
“At the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, the most critical message to immediately convey was the importance of hand hygiene.”
How did your team decide to move forward with the installation idea for the #WashYourHands messaging and to use the building to promote it?
“Considering Rush’s prominent location along the Eisenhower expressway, we thought we’d leverage that real estate for the benefit of our community.”
What were some goals on the installation?
“Primary goal was to raise awareness and communicate with as many people as possible.”
How do you hope the #WashYourHands message makes an impact?
“It’d be optimal to have made an impact and raised awareness to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.”
We are here. We are together.
Let us know how Cushing can help.
