Accounts Receivable Billing Associate
Job Summary:
Under direct supervision of the Senior Accounting Manager, this individual is responsible for accurately billing the jobs that flow through the production department. The AR Billing Associate monitors and collects accounts receivable by contacting customers via email and phone, ensuring the prompt application of all payments at the time of receipt. It is imperative that this person be an excellent communicator as well as well-organized, keeping accurate record of all communications with customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generates and submits invoices
- Issues monthly statements
- Contacts customers with outstanding payments
- Payment and adjustment application
- Maintains customer accounts and record of communications
- Handles customer inquiries and resolves discrepancies
- Ensures strict confidentiality of Company information and records.
- Miscellaneous job-related duties (filing, maintaining files, etc.) as needed.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Accounting Manager.
Job Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in accounting or finance
- Experience in accounts receivable ideal but not required
- Candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, data entry, with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, thoroughness, with excellent verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency with Xero or one of the commonly used accounting ERP systems, such as QuickBooks, GP Dynamics, NetSuite
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently. Demonstrate patience and maturity under times of high stress.
- Detail oriented with good organizational skills, ability to gather and report data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; pleasant phone presence and skills needed for collection calls.
- Excellent arithmetic skills and accurate data processing of numbers for handling cash, correcting entries, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
