TIMELINE THEATRE
Timeline Theatre
Since its founding in 1997, TimeLine Theatre Company has built a reputation for storytelling which connects history to modern social and political issues.
As Time Goes By
Nestled inside a historic church, it’s easy to imagine the theatre anchoring the neighborhood in its current space since 1999. An emerging force in the vibrant Chicago theatre community, there is no shortage of accolades.
“TimeLine’s lobby experience is one of the things that sets us apart. The large format boards have become a part of our brand and another reason patrons love coming to TimeLine.”
-Lara Goetsch, Timeline Theatre, Director of Marketing and Communications
Far Reaching Recognition
Far too many to list, we’ll give it a try: Best Theatre in Chicago (Chicago Magazine, 2011), the nation’s Theater Company of Year (Wall Street Journal, 2010), and fifty-two Jeff awards, recognition which rewards outstanding production. They are also a recipient of the Richard Goodman Strategic Planning Award, from the appropriately named: Association for Strategic Planning. Did you know that Timeline brings theatre to Chicago Public Schools students through their Living History Education Program? There is just something, forgive us, timeless about this team.
How and Why Timeline Production Gallery
More than a Hallway
Venturing into the lobby (no, not for refreshments) theatre-goers are encouraged to explore historical significance and context of the shows. More than a space for intermission and socializing, lobby graphics have become another character in their inspired productions. The materials used, such as sintra, mesh and Masonite, experience more than just fifteen minutes of fame.
