What is your name and title?
I’m Renee with two e’s. I am a Color Project Manager, meaning that I take on any kind of installation project, from decorating the walls of your local restaurant, to covering the interior and exterior of the United Center in NBA All Stars 2020 gear!
Briefly describe your day to day duties.
Between answering emails from customers and coordinating installations, I’m working behind the scenes setting up files for graphics, operating our wide format printers, lending a hand in our Finishing department, and general running around the office like a madman making sure things are going smooth!
What’s something you’ve learned since joining the Cushing team?
That IT IS possible to have a fairly stressful and fast-paced job and still have fun! It helps so much having such a strong, supportive, and positive team to keep things moving along when times get rough.
What hobbies do you have that help you stay productive outside of work?
I’m creatively inclined, so lots of art/design. I also play the piano and love reading dark fiction and history.
Describe your perfect Saturday.
Early morning bike ride through the northern trails, sitting on a bench at the Chicago Botanic Garden, reading. Afterwards, ride home, grab a bite to eat, and end the day with a movie or video game.
If you could see any band in concert, at any point in history, who would it be?
The band Ghost!! And Marilyn Manson, late 90s era.
What is your favorite video game / board game?
I’m a sucker for The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. I don’t want to admit how many hours I’ve put into that game.
