William Ivy
OSC MANAGER
Whether creating recycled notepads, converting files or assisting customers, William wears a smile. A print specialist with over 20 years of experience, he has never met a font he didn’t like. Your project is in the right hands, which should keep a smile on your face.
Briefly describe your day to day duties.
Printing drawings, specs, and color renderings for mounting. Making sure all of my printers \ plotters are in good working condition, making sure all of the billing is correct and keeping paper and other supplies stocked and ready for use.
What is your favorite part of working at Cushing?
Teamwork. Everybody helps everybody and shares a ‘let’s get it done’ attitude. It’s something you don’t see every day.
What hobbies do you have that help you stay productive outside of work?
Graphic Design, mostly Photoshop but I’m starting to jump more into Adobe Illustrator.
What motivates you to go to work each day?
Well besides the obvious of providing for my family I would have to say just being part of an industry that I can see something that I helped produce almost anywhere. And even when I look at the Chicago skyline, I can take pride in knowing that I had a part (however small) in shaping the city to what it is today.
If you could see any band in concert, at any point in history, who would it be?
It’s a tie between Earth Wind & Fire and The Beatles
What three words would clients use to describe you?
Calm, hard-working, professional.
Describe your perfect Saturday.
Me and my wife binge watching our favorite TV shows while eating and having cocktails.
If you could sell/produce more of any service we offer, what would it be and why?
Banners. People that I do design work for ask me about banners often. I even had one made for my church.
