Amanda Eich
Managing Designer of Sepia Studio
Briefly describe your day to day duties.
I’m the in-house graphic designer, so I’m often in InDesign or Illustrator creating any variety of things for clients, from a logo refresh, a van decal, an office “wow factor” wall. It’s a great variety of things, which I love.
What hobbies do you have that help you stay productive outside of work?
I drink a lot of coffee.
Describe your perfect Saturday.
All the dishes and laundry are already done for the weekend. The meals are prepped and the groceries are already bought and put away. I get up, drink some coffee with my husband and then we toss the kids in the car and have an epic adventure.
What is your most used emoji?
It’s the… you get it, ammiright? emoji
All-time favorite movie?
Terms of Endearment. But I also love most of the Avenger movies too, completely opposite ends of the spectrum. I cried ugly tears when Tony Stark died. Too soon, I don’t want to talk about it.
If you could sell/produce more of any service we offer, what would it be and why?
I want to design all of the things! I can’t wait to set up a GIANT supergraphic, like a 4 story lobby creation with 3dimensional elements (manifesting… manifesting…)
What’s your favorite thing to produce / or see being produced in the shop?
I love it when fine art is printed for artists, prints and what not. Its just fun to see other people’s art come to life with really great quality production. We have amazingly talented clients.
What’s something you’ve learned since joining the Cushing team?
Process, process, process. I’m always impressed and mesmerized at how different departments work so well together to get something created, start to finish, soup to nuts. This is truly a team environment.
Most interesting or funniest thing that’s happened since you’ve been at Cushing?
I almost didn’t respond to the original email to be on board with Sepia Studio because I assumed it was sent to me by mistake… also a long story!
